Why I Do This Work

After 30 years on shlichus, I've witnessed the profound impact of unprocessed stress and trauma on our ability to show up fully in our lives. This work isn't just about healing—it's about reclaiming our natural capacity for joy, liveliness, and deep connection with ourselves and others.

Why I Do This Work

I’m often asked how I became a coach. Here’s how it unfolded:

I grew up in Long Beach, California, where life was centered around enjoyment and abundance. But I noticed that even people with everything seemed to lack fulfillment, and that’s when I began searching for something more. At age five, my family met Chabad, where I discovered meaning, joy, and spirituality.

My parents often say that I was the light that drew our family to pursue an authentic, Torah-centered lifestyle. Over time, I realized that true happiness lies in balancing both spiritual and material life. When I met my husband, Pinney, we committed ourselves to share the warmth and beauty of Judaism with others just as our Rabbis and Rebbetzins did for us.

With a blessing from the Lubavitcher Rebbe, we became Shluchim in Raleigh, North Carolina.

There we dedicated ourselves to teaching and outreach. After 18 years, I started to experience signs of burnout and sought the help of a Torah-centered life coach. Through coaching, I found clarity, rediscovered joy, and learned to operate with self-compassion—bringing new vitality to my home, family, and shlichus work with others. Inspired by my own experience, I enrolled in a 4-year training to become a life coach. I received certifications in multiple areas, including leading retreats, to help others find their own clarity and joy.

My Journey To Somatic Healing

In my coaching practice, I encountered clients who were struggling with stress, anxiety, and trauma—issues that coaching alone was not addressing effectively. When I discovered Somatic Experiencing, it was a breakthrough.

This powerful approach allowed me to guide clients in releasing stored stress and trauma from their bodies. After my first two-hour session, I felt as if I had experienced months of therapy. Since then, many of my clients have found relief even after just one session.

My Training and Approach

Professional Training

I graduated from Coach University’s four-year coaching program. After taking an Imago course to improve my own marriage, I trained and became certified as an Imago Relationship Educator.

I trained with Dr. Reggie Melrose and received my Self Regulation Training™(SRT) certification. I then trained and recived my Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) certification through the internationally recognized Somatic Experiencing® Institute, founded by Dr. Peter Levine — the pioneer and creator of the Somatic Experiencing approach to trauma healing.

My Approach

I practice somatic coaching, not psychotherapy. My role is to support your body's natural wisdom in processing and releasing what no longer serves you.

When appropriate, I collaborate as part of your broader care team, working alongside other practitioners to support your complete wellbeing.

Who I Work With

Women (1:1 or Women’s Circles)

I work with women 1:1 to create a safe, supportive space for deep somatic healing and nervous system regulation. I also guide groups of women in healing together—reconnecting with the beauty, strength, and power of sisterhood.

Couples

I co-facilitate couples workshops with my husband, Pinney, a licensed therapist, where we teach practical relationship tools that foster connection, understanding, and emotional safety — supported by somatic awareness and mindful communication.
